The historical name of Kartli – Iberia – has one of the oldest and richest history, dating back to early bronze age, and the Mtkvari-Arax culture was formed here. The vast fields, valleys and waterfalls, endowed with thousands of colorish flower fields are so much impressive.

Tbilisi – Mereti – Ergneti – Gori – Tbilisi
The program
In the morning meet your guide and drive to a small village Mereti, where you will visit a small family runs beekeepers who are producing natural honey. The host Lela Revazashvili will meet you and share her story and explain the whole process how she treats her bees and taste the honey. Later continue drive to village Ergneti and visit the August War 2008 Museum – located in the basement of Lia Chlachidze’s house (the witness of war), where everything has been kept intact and where traces of the war are still visible. Lia herself decided to open a museum in order to inform everyone about the horrors of the war. Exhibited photos show how Russian military forces were being gathered on the 5th and 6th of August near Roki Tunnel and ready to invade and attack Georgia. The war lasted 5 days, officially only 224 civilians were killed and 20 000 people lost their houses and become refuges. Later you will visit Maguli Okropiridze’s small flower farm. After war she decided not to give up and started new life. At her beautiful farm you can see roses and tulips and of course she can share her story.
